THORNBURY, ON – Marni Moreau Enters Mayoral Race Focused on Unity

Marni Moreau officially announced her candidacy for Mayor of the Town of The Blue Mountains, launching a campaign built on unity and integrity.

After growing up in Clarksburg, Moreau gained 25 years of business leadership experience in Toronto. Since moving back to the Town of The Blue Mountains, she has a strong record of local involvement. Marni is the daughter of former councillor Peter Moreau, who helped lead major community initiatives including the Beaver Valley Community Centre, L.E. Shore Library and Moreau Park. She is also a co-founder of the Blue Mountain Film + Media Festival, now in its fifth year, an initiative created to celebrate the region’s landscape and people.”

“I care deeply about all residents of our community,” said Moreau. “I’m running for Mayor because I believe we need a leader who can bring residents, staff, and Council together to work through challenges with respect, clarity and a shared sense of purpose.” 

Moreau’s campaign focuses on balancing the town’s growth with the preservation of its community character and culture. She emphasizes the need for a collaborative environment at Town Hall.

“Our town is at a pivotal moment,” added Moreau. “We deserve leadership that listens, connects, and delivers. My priority is on uniting the community, protecting essential services, and ensuring growth is managed responsibly and transparently.
