SEVERE WINTER WEATHER PROMPTS ROAD CLOSURES IN SPRINGWATER AND CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP
New Road Closure and Roads Reopened
(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP, ON) – December 4, 2025 – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has closed multiple roads in Springwater and Clearview Townships as a result of severe winter weather conditions.
Motorists are urged to avoid unnecessary travel and use extreme caution if driving is essential.
Roads Currently Closed:
· County Road 92: Crossland Road to Village Gate Drive Drive
Roads Reopened:
· Highway 26: Horseshoe Valley Road to County Road 10
· County Road 10: Highway 26 to County Road 9
· Klondike Park Road: Veterans Way to Highway 26

The OPP would like drivers to remember these tips when preparing for travel:
- Check the weather before heading out
- Slow down and stay in control
- Carry a survival kit in your car
- Make sure windows are completely clear before heading out
- Keep your fuel tank at least half full so that you don’t run out of gas if stranded
- Allow extra time to travel
- Do not call 911 to check road conditions
