SEVERE WINTER WEATHER PROMPTS ROAD CLOSURES IN SPRINGWATER AND CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP

New Road Closure and Roads Reopened

(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP, ON) – December 4, 2025 – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has closed multiple roads in Springwater and Clearview Townships as a result of severe winter weather conditions.

Motorists are urged to avoid unnecessary travel and use extreme caution if driving is essential.

Roads Currently Closed:

·      County Road 92: Crossland Road to Village Gate Drive Drive

Roads Reopened:

·      Highway 26: Horseshoe Valley Road to County Road 10

·      County Road 10: Highway 26 to County Road 9

·      Klondike Park Road: Veterans Way to Highway 26

Before heading out, plan your trip by checking road conditions and closures at 511on.ca and following Ontario Provincial Police – Central Region social media channels for updates.

  • Highway 26 between Horseshoe Valley Road and County Road 10
  • County Road 10 between Highway 26 and County Road 9
  • Klondike Park Road between Veterans Drive and Highway 26

The OPP would like drivers to remember these tips when preparing for travel:

  • Check the weather before heading out
  • Slow down and stay in control
  • Carry a survival kit in your car
  • Make sure windows are completely clear before heading out
  • Keep your fuel tank at least half full so that you don’t run out of gas if stranded
  • Allow extra time to travel
  • Do not call 911 to check road conditions
