Collingwood, ON [05 May 2026] – The Town of Collingwood is pleased to announce the return of its dynamic spring and summer event season, offering a wide range of free and family friendly experiences that celebrate music, culture, creativity, and community throughout downtown and the waterfront.

The 2026 season kicks off in late May and continues through September, welcoming residents and visitors alike to connect, explore, and enjoy everything Collingwood has to offer.

Sunset Sessions – May 23, 4:00 p.m., Sunset Point Park Stage

The season launches with Sunset Sessions. Held at Sunset Point Park this annual event showcases the talent of musicians under 18 years of age, providing young performers with a professional platform to gain experience, build confidence, and connect with the community. Set against Collingwood’s waterfront at sunset, Sunset Sessions highlights the Town’s commitment to supporting youth creativity, artistic expression, and inclusive community spaces. This event is made possible through the support of Envision-Tatham and Tatham Engineering.

Bike Month Celebrations

Collingwood celebrates Bike Month with two engaging cycling events:

• Kids Pedal Palooza – May 28, 5:00 p.m., Legion Park
Designed for children and youth, this interactive cycling skills development session focuses on building confidence, safety, and fundamental bike handling skills in a fun and supportive environment with RAD Adventures.

• Trails Tunes – June 6, 5:00 p.m., Shipyards Amphitheatre
A signature Bike Month favourite, Trails Tunes combines cycling and live music across the region, connecting over 100 km of trails between Wasaga Beach, Clearview and Collingwood. Participants are encouraged to ride, explore, and enjoy performances at four trailhead locations that highlight the joy of active transportation and outdoor recreation. Make Collingwood the last stop on your cycling adventure for your final concert.

• 80’s Roller Jam – June 13, 6:00 p.m., Collingwood Curling Club
Lace up and roll back in time at this ’80s themed roller skating event, featuring retro tunes, neon lights, and classic throwback vibes. From big hair and leg warmers to iconic hits from the decade, it’s a fun, high energy evening of skating, music, and nostalgic style for all ages.

National Indigenous History Month – June

In recognition of National Indigenous History Month, the Town will host meaningful programming that honors Indigenous cultures, knowledge, and creativity.

• Medicine Garden Workshop – June 10, 1:30 p.m., Harbourview Park – Medicine Gardens
This interactive workshop provides participants with the opportunity to explore the plants grown in Collingwood’s medicine gardens while learning to make a sweetgrass infusion.

• National Indigenous Peoples Day Concert & Metis Harvest Demonstration, June 20Collingwood’s National Indigenous Peoples Day concert begins at 5:30 pm and celebrates Indigenous music, storytelling, and artistic expression, providing space for learning, reflection, and connection.

Festival for Canada – June 27 & July 1

Collingwood’s beloved Festival for Canada returns with expanded celebrations leading up to and including Canada Day. Spanning two dates, the festival features live music, family activities, food vendors, and patriotic festivities that bring the community together in the heart of downtown. On June 27th enjoy Collingwood’s Farmers’ Market, music throughout the downtown as part of Music Stomp and the BMFA Art Market. End the day with a concert at 6:00 pm at the Shipyards Amphitheatre featuring popular performers that you won’t want to miss. Fireworks return at 10:00 pm on July 1st.

Live & Original – July 4 & 18, August 15 & 22, 6:00 p.m., Shipyards Amphitheatre

The popular Live & Original concert series showcases outstanding Canadian and local musical talent across multiple summer dates. The series offers audiences the chance to experience diverse genres and discover emerging artists. For a list of performers, go to collingwood.ca/events.

Sidelaunch Festival – August 7–9, Collingwood Waterfront

One of Collingwood’s marquee summer events, the Sidelaunch Festival celebrates the town’s rich shipbuilding heritage. The multi day festival features live music, food, family programming, and waterfront activities, drawing visitors from across the region. Returning favourites at the Sidelaunch Festival include the Tall Ships, Kites Over Collingwood, live DJs, Amphitheatre concerts, SUP races, thrilling jet pack shows, and so much more for all ages to enjoy.

Art Crawl – September 19, 4:00 p.m., Downtown Collingwood

The summer season concludes with Art Crawl, a vibrant celebration of creativity that transforms downtown Collingwood into a walking gallery. Musicians, artists, studios, and businesses come together to showcase visual art, live demonstrations, and interactive experiences.
