(COLLINGWOOD, ON) – Members of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have arrested and charged three motorists in separate impaired driving incidents.

 On Monday, April 20, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers conducted a proactive traffic stop in the area of Sixth Street and Stewart Road, which led to an impaired driving investigation.

 As a result, Bhavya MANYU, a 30-year-old from Brampton, was charged with:

  •        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  •        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

 On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers responded to a traffic complaint in the area of Highway 26 and Delphi Lane. After locating the subject of the complaint, police initiated an impaired driving investigation.

 As a result, Georgia LEITCH, a 27-year-old from Thornbury, was charged with:

  •        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  •        Failure or refusal to comply with demand

 On Saturday, April 25, 2026, officers responded to a traffic complaint in the area of First Street and Huron Street. After locating the subject of the complaint, police initiated an impaired driving investigation.

As a result, Timothy PALMER, a 44-year-old from Collingwood, was charged with:

  •        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  •        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

Officers want to remind motorists to plan ahead if they choose to consume alcohol or drugs. Use a designated driver, taxi, rideshare, public transit, or stay overnight. Any amount of alcohol or drugs can impair your ability to make sound judgments.
