As Smash Collingwood continues to grow and execute on our vision to deliver the best overall pickleball customer experience, we are excited to announce that Martina Wynia is joining our team as our Head Pickleball Pro – with the mandate of leading our Academy. Martina brings a unique and powerful combination of professional playing experience, structured coaching expertise, and senior leadership background to our club.
Before pursuing her career in pickleball full time, Martina was a Registered Nurse and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Honours) from York University. She later served as a Regional Director of Operations, providing leadership oversight and consulting support to long term care providers across Canada. This experience shaped the structured, professional, and systems-driven approach she now brings to player development.
Martina began her pickleball journey in late 2022 and quickly progressed through the competitive ranks. In 2023, she was drafted into the inaugural Canadian National Pickleball League (CNPL), establishing herself early within the professional circuit.
After relocating to Houston, Martina became a Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) Certified Pro and coached in one of the most active pickleball markets in North America. During this time, she worked extensively with players of all levels, refining her coaching systems and developing a modern methodology focused on clarity, structure, and measurable improvement.
In 2026, Martina was drafted by the Bat City Bangers in the US Legends Pickleball League, further strengthening her presence in professional pickleball.
Martina specializes in structured programming that emphasizes:

She is known for her strong on-court presence, attention to detail, and ability to connect with players while helping them elevate performance in a focused and engaging environment. Off the court, Martina maintains a balanced lifestyle centered on fitness, recovery, and mindset, which aligns closely with our philosophy of supporting complete player development.
