
✅ SOUTHERN GEORGIAN BAY OPP B PLATOON WORKING HARD TO GET IMPAIRED’S OFF OUR ROADWAYS

(MIDLAND, ON) – The Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) B platoon was busy charging numerous drivers with impaired operation in the Town of Midland.
Between Thursday August 13, 2026 and the early morning of Friday, August 14, 2026, officers from the Southern Georgian Bay OPP B Platoon located and charged three impaired drivers with the assistance of the general public. Following the initial call of possible impaired drivers officers were able to locate each vehicle and conduct an impaired driving investigation, each driver was transported to the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment for further testing.
As a result, three individuals were charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:
Mackenzie LOWE, 25 years old of Midland, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Erin PHILLIPS, 44 years old of Midland, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Sara MURRAY, 39 years old of Tay Township, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus
The accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
Additionally, B Platoon located and arrested an additional impaired novice driver on Sunday August 23, 2026
Andrew UDOH, 43 years old of Midland, was charged with the following Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act Offences:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs – CCC
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) – CCC
- Dangerous Operation – CCC
- Novice Driver – Clood Alcohol Concentration above zero – HTA
- Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver – HTA
- Fail to notify change of address – HTA
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
