Trail Tunes is a regional event that connects communities by trail and by song with 12 concerts at 4 trailhead locations.  A Top 100 Festival in Ontario!

Get out on the trails this International Trails Day for Trail Tunes, a collaborative, regional event connecting over 100kms of trail and rich musical culture between Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, and Clearview Township. The new format will mean that concerts are staggered to allow residents and visitors a chance to bike to every location! Taking place on Saturday, June 6th from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. residents and visitors are encouraged to bike or hike, through Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Stayner, and New Lowell enjoying free, live music at trailheads in each municipality.

StarDust Jazz Trio

StarDust Jazz Trio are three Toronto musicians who have created an exciting new niche in world music fusion. In addition to playing the usual “standards” from the Great American Songbook, they have also taken well-known traditional Ukrainian pop and folk classics and have completely reworked them into their own unique jazz-infused arrangements, with echoes of everything from samba to swing, bossa nova to blues. Their unmistakable sound, dynamic stage presence, and high professionalism transcend cultural boundaries and appeal to a broad audience, winning them loyal and enthusiastic fans wherever they play. StarDust Jazz Trio stand poised to expand the audience for their music, and would love for your venue to be a part of this process.

Johnny Too Nice

Johnny TooNice is a reggae punk ska (ish) musician from Wasaga Beach ON! Performing as a one-man band, he delivers a full-band experience from a single stage presence. Trombone blasts, keytar licks, skanking guitar, grooving bass, shredding violin, drums clicking, and driving beats all collide under high energy vocals packed with originals, covers, and stage banter! His energy and interaction will have your feet moving, cheeks smiling, and head shaking the entire time! Be sure to catch his hit songs live and online! 

WARPED 

1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.

Based in Creemore since 2022, WARPED plays traditional West African rhythms on djembe, dundun, ashikos and small percussion instruments, and also performs the dundun dance. Their primal beats will have you movin’ to the groove!

Queen M

2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Fans of contemporary soul music have been keeping an eye on Queen M ever since the Canadian artist burst upon the scene in 2022 with the singles “Colour of My Skin,” “Evolution of Queen M” and “High Road,” songs that spoke directly of her life experience.

Now she is ready to take on the world with Introducing Queen M, a seven-song collection that brings her sound into sharp focus. Along with vintage r&b, it’s a sound also built on reggae-inflected grooves that pay tribute to Queen M’s Jamaican roots. And like artists that have paved the way for her, such as Sharon Jones and Bettye LaVette, Queen M doesn’t hold back an iota when it comes to singing about life as she sees it.

Jess Bowman

Introducing Jess Bowman, a 28-year-old accomplished singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Her musical landscape is richly painted with influences from icons like Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton, with Ed Sheeran standing as her paramount musical inspiration. Jess is proficient in piano, guitar, drums, and ukulele, crafting her unique sound. On stage, she employs a loop pedal to create an immersive one-woman band experience. Jess’s debut album “Journey” is now available on all streaming platforms.

Whether at corporate and municipal events, private celebrations, or local fundraisers, Gibbons & Figgs deliver engaging and memorable entertainment tailored to suit any occasion. Their polished harmonies, skilled musicianship, and warm stage presence make them a crowd favourite wherever they perform.

Gord Valiquette

“Music is a way of life for me,” confesses Gord Valiquette.
Influenced by my mother, she saw that I had a talent for music, and she began taking me to live performances featuring such distinguished and notable artists as Murray McLaughlin, Leona Boyd and other respected musical talents.
I was hooked and wanted to play as much, and in as many locations as possible.
My first paid performance was when I was 19 years old, and I haven’t stopped playing since.
My genre is classic rock, inspired by gifted musicians, who became my idols, including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Cat Stevens.
I play both guitar and harmonica and I enjoy performing at local venues, in intimate settings, where I can interact with the audience.

The 93 North Band

7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

The 93 North Band (5 piece) was created in late 2021 and began performing in May of 2022.
Since then, the band hasn’t looked back and has graced festival main stages (Kempenfest OLG Stage, Salmon Spectacular, …), The Stockey Centre Theatre Stage, cultural evenings in various cities and towns, Casino Rama.
Based out of Simcoe County, this powerhouse band performs original and cover songs. It’s made up of veteran musicians, all with decades of studio and live performance experience.
We also have been fund raising for local food banks in the region, depending on where we are performing.
