Collingwood, ON [27 June 2025] – This summer, the Town of Collingwood is excited to bring back the Heritage Park Play and Mobile Park Programs, offering free outdoor play opportunities for children of all ages.
Starting July 3, visit the Collingwood Museum every Monday, Heritage Park every Tuesday, and rotating neighbourhood parks every Thursday for some fun, free play with the Mobile Park.
Locations, dates, and times are listed below. This program will run, weather permitting, until August 28, 2025. While Town staff support and oversee the program, please note that for safety reasons, a parent or guardian must accompany children while participating in the Mobile Park program.
The Mobile Park Program and Heritage Park Play are dedicated to providing free play opportunities in parks around Collingwood. You can expect an interactive, block-based Imagination Playground, as well as classic, oversized games, including Connect Four, Jenga, Tic-Tac-Toe, and Yahtzee. The mobile play trailer is loaded with a variety of equipment that fosters imaginative play opportunities for kids of all ages.
The Mobile Park Program goes beyond play; it’s about building community connections and encouraging kids to use their social, problem-solving, and physical skills as they work together to build, create, imagine, and play.
In addition to the Mobile Park program, be sure to visit the Community Garden every Tuesday during Heritage Park Play for Harvest Tuesdays. This is an amazing opportunity to get free access to fresh, locally grown veggies and explore the vibrant garden.
